USAID Holds Libya-Tunisia Electricity Sector Conference

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) organized in Tunis the Electricity Sector Conference for Libya and Tunisia in the presence of Libyan Minister-designate of Planning Mohammed Al-Zidani, and the US Chargé d’Affaires Jeremy Berndt, the US embassy in Libya said on Friday.

Berndt thanked Al-Zidani for the excellent meeting at USAID’s Electricity Sector Conference in Tunis, saying the US technical support “aims to help Libya modernize its energy sector, strengthen transparency, and improve service delivery.”

“We also had the chance to discuss US partnership with Libyans from east, west, and south to help communities rebuild after conflict and the catastrophic floods two months ago. The US stands with Derna, Murzuq, and local communities throughout Libya.” Berndt added.
