The Italian economic police today raided the offices of the NGO No Peace Without Justice in Rome. This is the non-governmental organization led by Nicolos Figa Talamanca, who was imprisoned for two months in a Belgian prison for the Qatargate case and then released.
According to the Italian press, today’s operation by the economic police was aimed at seizing documents to determine whether this NGO contributed to the laundering of dirty money originating from Qatar and Morocco, on behalf of Antonio Panzeri and his family.
As the newspaper La Repubblica writes, Belgian prosecutors are currently in Rome to cooperate and exchange information with their Italian colleagues.
